Health Upate #1

Monday I had a doctor’s appointment. I am a Type 2 Diabetic ( #type2diabetes ) and have been off my medications for at least 3 months. Monday I started back on them. If I am to be able to teach people how to live a cleaner and more health filled life, I need to be able to walk the walk and talk the talk – everything from experience. My numbers are staying down so far. In the mid-200 range but that is better than the high 300 to low 400 range.

We are going to finish off all the food we have in the house currently (vegan junk food and whatnot). We will figure a way to get the food that we should have in the house for all of us to have the proper eating style for ourselves. Hopefully being back in the kitchen will help my energy levels and make sure that I don’t just not eat as I have been doing. Starving my body thus making my digestion suffer greatly.

As a #diabetic, I struggle with staying awake. This struggle is very real. Right now, it’s currently about 12:30 in the afternoon. I’ve only been awake for 5 hours and I’m ready for a very long nap. I’m talking several hours. Then I would be able to be awake for another 5 hours and then back to sleep. This has been my schedule for too many weeks to recall properly.

As part of using this as a way of holding myself accountable, I will be posting daily #veganfoodporn of my #veganfood and #wfpb recipes. I’m also, as time goes by, going to be replacing my chemically created medication with #herbs. I want people to learn from my dealings with everyday life. I have a great doctor. He has been our family doctor for about 20 years or so. He knows that when I make up my mind to do something, it will happen. I just seem to be having a hard time keeping it #wfpb right now, which sucks.

So, I’ll be starting a weekly update on my glucose readings and my exercise readings (walking and whatnot). Thank you for being there to follow me on this path. Maybe, just maybe, what I’m going through will help someone else.
